Future EV's

The latest view on electric cars is changing but still not correct. The conventional thinking is that the grid is not ready, that charging takes too long and the distance between charges is too short but those obstacles will be overcome in the future and EV’s will be the choice for most people. This overlooks the environmental harm caused by the mining, processing and disposal of the material used for batteries. It overlooks the poisoned ground water in China, the children mining cobalt in Africa and the indigenous communities being moved in South America to mine lithium. It completely ignores the facts that heavy farm and military equipment along with locomotives, ocean liners and airplanes cannot run on batteries. Ultimately cars will be hydrogen powered where there is no mining and the only bi product is water. As small nuclear reactors are mass produced the cost of electricity will come down and water will be changed into hydrogen and oxygen thru electrolysis. The hydrogen can then be used as fuel for cars and light trucks and changed into diesel fuel using CO2 from the air and then returning it to the air upon combustion. This is carbon neutral. These reactors will also be used to desalt sea water and then used to irrigate, what are today desert areas, to provide low-cost ag products. The push for small reactors by big tech companies is now underway and will rapidly expand. The energy of the future is nuclear and the fuel will slowly change from uranium to thorium.
