Guilt and privilege
Many feel that Martin Luther King's quote of judging a man by the color of his character not the color of his skin was taken out of context and misused by conservatives to justify what others see as racist ideas. Be that as it may, the quote itself is meaningful and sets forth a moral ideal that warrants our attention. When people use phrases like white guilt and white privilege they are judging based on skin color and that should be unacceptable.
