The projects under the infrastructure bill are off to a slow start and some of that is due to DEI. Often times small sub contractures cannot meet the hiring rules unable to find the qualified people. But there are other reasons. In reality, it is a fatal combination of government regulation and bad management that is killing American infrastructure plans and creating decades of setbacks. The video shows how laws such as the National Environmental Policy Act were “well-intentioned” at the time of their creation yet ultimately fail to accomplish much but delaying new construction. Trump changed the rules on DEI hiring and this will speed up many projects. The revoked order had required "affirmative action and prohibits federal contractors from discriminating on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin,” according to a summary by the Department of Labor. The next step is to reduced regulations. It’s not a matter of safety as some maintain. “Better safety isn’t the reason that America is falling behind. After all, countries like Germany and Canada, build new infrastructure, much faster and cheaper than we do. And they do it without a body count,” the narrator explained.
