Board of Peace

During Trump’s first term he set up the Abraham Accords. This was an agreement between the Arab countries of UAE, Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan to normalize relationships with Israel. Yesterday Trump put in place the second step in this plan. He started the Board of Peace with 50 nations signing on including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar and Egypt. Countries can become permanent members of this group by donating one billion dollars. The plan is to use money from the members, most coming from oil rich countries, to rebuild Palestine. This is possible now that the fighting has subsided. Some European countries, like France, Norway and Sweden, object because they see this new group as a challenge to the United Nations. This is happening because Iran is no longer a nuclear threat and step three is the long desired two state solution.
