Spending

States where the house, senate and governorship are controlled by one party tend to run up debt fast, states like California, Illinois and New York but the same thing happens in the federal government. During the first two years of the Biden administration the democrats controlled the house, senate and presidency and they passed American Resue Plan spending $1.9 trillion The Infrastructure and Jobs Act spending $1.2 trillion The Inflation Reduction Act spending $1 trillion This is a total of $4.1 trillion. Trump had control of the house and senate during his entire first term (2017-2021) and spent a total of $8.3 trillion of which $4.5 trillion was spent on Covid relief.
