Troops

The Pentagon announced that they were cutting back troop strength to pre 9-11 size. All through the Iraq war we were told that we were short on troops and military people were serving four, five and six tours and they were exhausted. The Pentagon countered by saying that we were moving away from ground wars to more high tech wars. This is exactly what Rumsfeld said prior to 9-11. I feel confident that Pentagon experts understand that drones get their target information from spotters on the ground and spotters are only safe when the ground troops have secured the area. Then to compound matters the Pentagon has slowed down the purchase of next generation planes which contradicts the preparation for hi tech wars.
