This says it all. People have often said that politicians don't care what the people think until their reelection is threatened. This is further proof that they believe it is not the policy but the messaging. This person feels that illegals streaming across the border is not a problem, that inflation is not a problem, that crime is not a problem, that the way the country left Afghanistan is not a problem, that interfering with the energy industry is not a problem and when 70% of the people think the country is headed in the wrong direction means the people just don't understand. It is not that the country doesn't understand the message but that they do.
