News on the virus

Trumps daily briefings on the virus have become a ratings success averaging 8.5 million viewers which is akin to some prime time major network shows. Monday the viewership hit over 12 million which is like Monday Night Football. Fox garners about two/thirds of the audience and on certain days CNN and MSNBC do not carry the president and then Fox gets even more viewers. It is an old saying in the news business that when the president speaks its news but that is no longer the case on some networks. Rather than let the people decide what they want to hear these networks feel they need to filter what the presidents says so that people are not fooled, the assumption being that they know better.
