Gangs
The five major problems resulting from the illegal border crossings are drugs especially fentenyl, women and girls being molested, profits for cartels, economic stress on communities and missing children. Now a sixth has been added. Venezuelan gangs are now operating in 18 states. These gangs are recruiting children from migrant families knowing that if they are caught they will be tried as minors.
Once they commit their crimes they go back to the migrant community, where they assimilate themselves with people that are actually here obeying the laws," NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said.
