Nuclear
Nuclear power is on the move. One of the few bipartisan plans was the Inflation Reduction Act, which should have been called the climate act, shows a strong interest in nuclear with its statement, Nuclear energy is essential to meeting the US climate goals by providing clean, carbon free energy to sustain the grid. It includes $700 million for enriched uranium, and $250 billion in DOE loans for energy which includes nuclear.
Two dozen countries across Europe are moving to add too or build new nuclear power plants led by France which has plans for 16 new reactors. In addition many companies are looking to use SMR as a private supply of electric power. A dozen countries in Africa are in the planning stage for nuclear. Even the oil rich countries in the Middle East are moving toward nuclear while in the Far East China, India, South Korea and Japan have all accelerated their nuke programs.
