Supreme court

Justice Kennedy announced today that he will retire effective July 31st. There are many important issues on which his replacement will be pivotal. One pertains to the power currently held by unelected officials in the bureaucracy. The court in the past has refused to review regulations proposed by these various agencies but that could change. The seemingly unlimited power that these agencies have over the lives of the citizens may be challenged. These bureaucrats who are sometimes referred to as a fourth branch of government have grown in size and power to the point where they effect the daily lives of people in profound ways with very little oversight and that just might change with the right judge on the court.
