Richard Delgado is an American legal scholar considered to be one of the founders of critical race theory along with Derrick Bell. In 1964 a group met in Madison, WI and came up with the principles of CRT. First and most obviously, CRT is concerned with racism Second the history written by the majority must be rewritten to express the views of the minority Third the focus must be on equality of results not equality of opportunity Fourth that racism can only be addressed when the fundamental structures of society are changed.
