Candidates
As democratic wannabe presidential candidates seek public attention, a common theme is evolving vary much in line with the Trump approach. Trump came on the scene as a political unknown and immediately set about getting his name in lights by making very politically incorrect statements. This kind of behavior lit up the clicks and places like Morning Joe would delight when Trump called. He was a laughing stock but in the end he got the last laugh. Recently Senator Chris Van Hollen went to El Salvador to interview a deported migrant. California Governor Gavin Newsom interviews conservatives on his pod cast then reverts back to the far-left defending protestors. Penn Senator Fetterman is pushing back on the left. Congresswoman Cortez is pushing the far-left ideas of Bernie Sanders. California Senator Alex Padilla interrupts a meeting by Christi Noem. It remains to be seen if they, like Trump, can hold on to their basic beliefs. Can they be pragmatic instead of ideological? Trump can be conservative on some issues and liberal on others and this is how most voters see the country.
