Trump Iran

There are two cliches on a collision course but with the proper handling can be resolved. The first, says regarding regime change, if you break it, you own it. This is in reference to what happened in Afghanistan. The world demanded that since the US went in, they were obligated to fix things. The second is that those who fail to understand history will repeat past mistakes. The situation in Iran will be different because of Trump. If Trump choses to take out the nuclear program and the regime responds by attacking US facilities in the area or even using terrorism within the US, Trump will respond by using air strikes but he will not send in US troops. If the regime is overthrown and chaos breaks out in Iran, Trump will not send in US ground troops. If Iran turns into a civil war or if terror groups set up business in Iran, Trump will not send in US troops. That is the difference between Iran in 2025 and Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq. There will be no nation building. There will be no Americans on the ground trying to democratize the country. The US has learned from past wars that it is futile to try and rebuild by trying to make some other country into a new USA.
