Deportations
On his first day in office President Biden, using executive order, dismantled the Trump immigration program. Later he attempted to codify the new rules using the US Citizenship Act but it failed to pass despite having control of both houses. During his four years in office his executive orders remained in effect and an estimated 10 million illegal migrants entered the country.
Trump promised on the campaign trail this year to conduct a mass deportation of more than 13 million immigrants in the country illegally.
Based on recent reports, Donald Trump's stated goal for deportations in his second administration is to deport all undocumented immigrants in the U.S. illegally, not just criminal migrants, according to Reuters.
Once in office, Trump has targeted migrants with criminal records but since many sanctuary cities and states are releasing these accused criminals into the general public, many non-criminal migrants are being rounded up with the criminals.
