Economies

In the 200 plus years since the industrial revolution the world has progressed more than the 5,000 years of recorded history. The mechanization of production in conjunction with free market capitalism has brought better lives to billions even though the population has increased from one billion to seven billion. During this transition time many governments tried socialism and it failed every time. The years between 1950 and 1970 are referred to as the golden age of capitalism as countries around the world moved toward free market economies. Many people are upset with today's situation and the number one complaint is that some people have too much.
