Data centers

Data centers are popping up all across the country and they use lots of electric power. The best plan is for each center to build its own power supply and sell any unused power back to the local electric company but some are not following that plan. Instead they are making deals with the local power companies and these data companies can afford to pay a high rate for their power. This means power is diverted to these new centers and this is resulting in higher rates for consumers. This will be a mistake as consumers will object to subsidizing these big media companies.
