Past vaccines, including the first for smallpox, were developed by growing the vaccine in live cells under adverse conditions to weaken it. The flu virus may be grown in eggs at a temperature of 80 degrees instead of body temperature of 98 degrees and this weakens the virus. It is then injected either live or dead, depending. The Covid vaccine was developed in a faster way by adjusting the DNA of the virus to weaken it. Test are being done to check the efficacy of the Covid but most people are aware of someone who was vaxed and still got the disease and many people got the disease more than once. More studies are needed to determine the value of vaccines developed using the DNA approach.
