Capitalism

Bernie Marcus, the child of Russian Jewish immigrants, was born in New Jersey in 1929. He worked at various jobs and ended up with Handy Dan home improvement stores where he became CEO. He was fired and in 1979 founded the Home Depot. Like all new businesses owners he worked long hours for very little pay and after a number of years the business took off. He retired in 2002 and spends his time doing philanthropic work. Home Depot employs 400,000 people most of whom whose education is high school or less. This is capitalism at its finest. Lets get rid of any corruption but don't throw out the baby with the bathwater.
