The latest uproar over Trump was caused by his suggestion that the country needs more babies and the government should design policies that encourages bigger families. One of the best ways to do this is to provide people with good, high paying jobs with benefits. This is what reshoring is all about. Bringing manufacturing back home is good for jobs and good for national defense by making the country self-sufficient in critical items. When governments try monetary incentives to promote more children, they usually don’t work but it they want to try something, a $5,000 child tax credit would be a good place to start.
