Working voters

Many in the democratic party feel they lost the low- and middle-income group because they did not clearly explain their policies but they are mistaken. Over the past 50 years, the incomes of low and middle-income workers in the U.S. have seen a slow and uneven growth, with the middle class experiencing a decline in its share of national income. While median income for middle-class households has increased, the share of total income they hold has decreased, indicating a widening income gap. This slow growth was particularly evident for workers in the bottom 90% of the wage distribution, with and annual growth of only 0.5%. Specifically, the top 1% of earners have seen their share of total income more than double, from 9% in 1975 to 22% in 2018, while the bottom 90% have seen their income share fall. Today the top 10% of the population holds 70% of the wealth. This was the result of globalization and Trump is trying to reverse that process and bring back the lost jobs. It is the establishment who opposes this and they are fighting Trump on every point. Even politicians who claim they are for the working man are opposing Trump. One of the first steps in bringing jobs back is to have fair trade which means equal tariffs which will lead to no tariffs.
