Ukraine settlement

The war in Ukraine continues as Biden said, for as long as it takes. Of the four parties involved, Russia, Ukraine, Europe and the US only Trump is interested in a peaceful settlement. The latest news says that Trump will offer a settlement that basically cedes Crimea and the Donbas regions to Russian with a guarantee that Ukraine will not be admitted to NATO in return for Russia pulling out their forces. If this is not acceptable then Trump will pull US support and consider this a European War. In time Russian forces will take more and more territory and Ukraine will ask the US to arrange for a settlement. The longer the wait the more Ukraine will have to give up. Right now, Zelensky believes that Europe will provide the money and weapons but Europe is under economic stress because of the lack of natural gas so that is not likely to happen. For as long as it takes is a few years and by that time there will not be much left of Ukraine not to mention all of the lives that will be lost. It will be just another Afghanistan or Vietnam. Years of war with little to nothing to show for it except but a lot of dead.
