Judges
The constitution is famous for its balance of power between branches. Congress controls the money; the president controls the federal employees and the Supreme Court pulls the reins of power on the other two. Recently judges, not Supreme Court Justices have been attempting to control the president. There are 890 federal judges and if each can curtail the actions of the president, then the president will be severely limited in his ability to run the country. Judges, being human, are shopped around to get one to lean one way or the other. If a judge is found to have a prejudice against a sitting president, he can be used to interfere with any decision the president makes. Then the case goes to the Supreme Court and that slows everything down. This judge can interfere on every decision and the president will be unable to carry out the duties of his office. In a short time, the country will be brought to a standstill as cases make their way to the Supreme Court. The judge can be impeached by the congress but that may take a long time and if the right party is in control, they may not get the votes to impeach. The most recent incident is US District Judge James Boasberg blocking further deportations by Trump under the Alien Enemies Act.
The emergency appeal, which asks the justices to overturn an order from US District Judge James Boasberg blocking further deportations under the act, further thrusts the Supreme Court into Trump’s whirlwind.
