Many people are slowly coming around to understanding, that The Green New Deal was more about social change than climate change. It was a different approach to income redistribution or sometimes called tax and spend. Working people prefer to have a job that pays a living wage instead of a low wage job with public assistance. This is why bringing manufacturing back home will help the working people. Working people are paid wages vs salaries and they get overtime so no tax on overtime helps them. No tax on TIPS helps them. It is a way of bringing up the bottom instead of bringing down the top. Doubling the industrial base means more factory jobs which helps the workers. This week Trump signed an executive order to increase mineral production in the US which means better paying jobs for working people. "The United States possesses vast mineral resources that can create jobs, fuel prosperity, and significantly reduce our reliance on foreign nations," the order reads. "The United States was once the world’s largest producer of lucrative minerals, but overbearing Federal regulation has eroded our Nation’s mineral production." This combined with new leadership in the EPA will allow the US to become self sufficient in the production of the minerals needed for modern factories and also protects the national defense. These new facilities will require large amounts of electrical power and the Trump administration is stepping up nuclear. Nuclear energy is set for a “renaissance” under U.S. President Donald Trump, according to Tema ETFs’ Yuri Khodjamirian. The chief investment officer noted that the Trump administration is “very, very interested” in backing new nuclear energy technology.
