Another example of Trump using financial and military solutions to political problems has emerged with the Panama Canal. First Trump threatens to retake the canal with force if necessary. This is followed up by an agreement between the US investor BlackRock to purchase the ports at both ends of the canal from a Chinese based company for $23 billion.
