Afghan airlift

This statement was not challenged by any news media but many recall Dunkirk, where over an 8 day period, 350,000 British and French troops were evacuated and taken to safety in England. In 1948 the US air lifted food and supplies to Berlin. This went on almost a full year with 300,000 flights bringing supplies to 2.2 million people and saved them from starvation.
