Afghan women

The United Nations has issued an emergency call for aid to Afghanistan and the US has responded with a $60 million dollar donation. Someone suggested, tongue in cheek I hope, that the US buy back some of the equipment that was left behind. The Taliban publicly says that women are being treated fairly but reports tell a different story. Sep 5, 2021 — More than half of all Afghan women reported physical abuse and 17 percent reported sexual violence, while almost 60 percent were in forced marriages. Some question the motive of sending money suggesting that the administration is trying to buy favors from the Taliban.
