Compromise

The war in Ukraine is settling into a war of attrition and that is bad news for Ukraine. It means it will take at least four more years for Russia to run out of conventional war materials like tanks and by that time there will be little left of Ukraine. NATO forces are designed to fight a fast high tech war not one that drags on and on. The one way left to speed up the process is to use air power which means US fighter jets and they work best with US pilots. If this turns into an air battle it won't be long until NATO planes are chasing enemy planes into Russian territory. That will lead to sending rockets into Russia followed by troops and the race is on. It is past time to close the book on the military industrial complex and come to a peaceful settlement. The either or type of thinking (Russia wins or nuclear war) must be replaced with compromise and that requires adult thinking.
