Migrants

For the past three years Fox news has had reporters at the border using drones to show the large numbers of migrants crossing the border. The numbers have steadily increased from an average of 40,000 per month during Trumps term to over 300,000 last month. Most of these were sent to larger cities in Texas. In April of 2022 Governor Abbott of Texas began sending migrants to cities farther north to places like New York City. Since that time DHS has begun sending migrants to northern cities. As of the end of last year Abbott has sent 80,000 migrants north. During the past three years more than 5 million migrants have entered the country not counting got a ways. Now that the problem has gotten the attention of Washington many democrats are on TV saying Abbott sending migrants north is a stunt and using migrants as pawns. Biden's current plan is to request more money for judges, border agents and facilities to deal with the influx of migrants. Recently there has been an increase in the number of migrants from Africa. There are 1.2 billion people who live in Africa and recent polls show that 52% would like to migrate. These are some of the poorest people in the world and deserve a chance for a better life.
