Iran
When talking about the situation in Gaza, the subject of Iran always comes up. Iran is vulnerable since Israel has knocked out their air defense, they have lost their helper Assad in Syria, Hezbollah is in disarray, Hamas is reeling and the Houthis are in civil war. This leaves open two courses of action. First the US can keep increasing the sanctions and if necessary, go to an oil embargo and hope the people of Iran will rise up and overthrow the government. Second, they can tell Israel that the US will keep China and Russia at bay and allow them to choose. They will not attempt to hold back Israel and will offer whatever military assistance they need. In the past year, Iran sent 500 various types of missiles into Israel and they have declared that Israel has no right to exist. The question is will Iran strike out against Israel as a last-ditch effort to save their country.
