Muckrakers

As a play on words of Pete Seegers song, where have all the flowers gone, the question today is where have all the Muckrakers gone. For the youngsters out there the term Muckraker refers to investigative journalist who exposed corruption in business and government As the massive misspending is being exposed by DOGE an enterprising reporter could follow up on anyone of the unusual spending projects and earn a Pulitzer. They could find out who sponsored the project and who got the money. These expenditures are so nonsensical that there must be some kind of mismanagement going on. They don’t pass the smell test.
