On CNN this AM, a retired Admiral, suggested that there is an upside to the Ukraine War by pointing out that most of the money the US sent in the form of military equipment was in fact, profits to US defense contractors. This explained in one short sentence what Eisenhower described as the military industrial complex. This Admiral is so enthralled with this kind of thinking he doesn’t realize that the average person does not see this as a good reason for war.
