Many government observers have suggested that the real power behind the scenes is the bureaucracy. There was some proof of this when the Attorney General asked for the Epstein files and was ignored. A similar thing happened when info on USAID was requested. The Inspector General said, we have long encountered delays or outright refusal by UN agencies, in providing requested investigative information to Office of Inspector General (OIG’s) Special Agents. An organization cannot run if the employees do not follow the line of command. As far as the Epstein files go there must be some very damaging information and the government does not want to reveal it. Supposedly there are videos of important people in compromising situations and therefor things will be held up for the old faithful excuse of national security. Congress by the constitution has oversight responsibility but when they ask for documents the bureaucrats refuse sighting national security.
