Ukraine

The dispute between Trump and Zelensky is a good example of how difficult negotiations can be but great for the public to see. Trump wants to set up a plan to mine rare earths and then use the US workers as a safety net against a Putin invasion. The idea is that Putin would not want to risk killing any US workers. Zelensky wants Trump to say that if Russia invaded the US would side with Ukraine. This leaves the world in the same situation as before. They cannot let Putin win or he will take over Eastern Europe and they cannot let Putin lose because he will use nukes. Thus, the war will just continue on and on. Zelensky must now decide if he wants to fight on without US support or change his mind and start by bringing US workers into Ukraine. In either case the US will no longer be funding the war and Trump feels this is in the best interest of the American people. The question now is, will the Europeans continue the fight without US support. If so, it will be their Vietnam or Afghanistan. In the long run it means the destruction of Ukraine and a severely weakened Russia and a lot of money down the drain.
